John McGowan runs a family business started by his grandfather in 1949. McGowan's of Phibsboro is one of Dublin Ireland's biggest and most successful pubs. His assistant manager, an Hewlett-Packard OG700, helps smooth the payroll, financial control, stocktaking and direct marketing end of the business.
